Adventures in the heart of the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and Newfoundland
In winter, the archipelago of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon changes coat, in order to cover itself with an outfit sometimes white, sometimes icy, but always with the colors and the subarctic atmospheres that this season offers with brilliance in the region.
Winter is certainly conducive to "hut tides" during which the wind, powder or rain makes the hinterland difficult to pass... Nevertheless, once the snow is deposited and the wind is tolerable, nothing prevents you from going on an adventure in frozen bogs or rocky hills, quite the contrary!
You can then discover the archipelago on a day hike, sleep in a tent to experience the winter bivouac, or in the shelter of an isolated cabin in Miquelon or Langlade... The winter season offers possibilities for experiments more or less committed that leave deep-rooted memories, and give a different flavor to the hot drink we drink on the way home...

PROGRAMME HIVER 2024 - 2025
Description: a spacious tepee heated by a wood stove will be installed close to the road for hikes without carrying... The first day, you will explore the Langlade plateau and its steep coast. Langlade in winter is simply magnificent...
The second day, you will discover the heart of the island of Miquelon and its rocky hills.
In the evening, we will cook collectively in the heat of the wood stove, sheltered from bad weather and in an atypical atmosphere...

Descriptif : Cet itinéraire à la journée traverse Miquelon, de la côte ouest à la côte est, en passant par plusieurs des collines emblématiques de l'île : le morne du Ruisseau Creux, le morne du Noroit, le morne de la Grande Montagne (point culminant de l'archipel). Chacun de ces petits sommets offrent des points de vue sur le coeur de l''île de Miquelon, où règnent les milieux naturels et sauvages... La vue sur l'isthme est également imprenable... Si une randonnée hivernale hors des sentiers battu vous intéresse, c'est une très belle option !
