Gilles Gloaguen, a state-certified hiking guide, grew up in the middle of the peat bogs and lagoons of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Irresistibly attracted by the wildest regions of the planet, he travels to Africa, South and North America and Europe. But he always returns to his islands, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, a veritable secret garden that he tirelessly explores in all seasons.

Trained as a scientist and naturalist, Gilles spent several years studying the unique flora and fauna of this little-known archipelago. At the same time, he specializes in expeditions to polar and sub-polar regions (Scandinavia, Newfoundland...).
